In fall 2024, NCF adopted CoMinnesota as one of our programs, with the goal of expanding cooperative education, connection, and advocacy across the state. Now, we’re excited to announce the first major event under this new chapter: the Minnesota Co-op Summit, taking place July 29–30, 2025, in Morris, Minnesota.
This two-day event is more than a gathering—it’s a milestone for the cooperative movement in Minnesota and a fresh start for CoMinnesota as a revitalized platform for cross-sector collaboration.
The event is co-presented with incredible partners - West Central Initiative Foundation, Minnesota Farmers Union, and the University of Minnesota - Morris.
Why Morris?
Morris offers the perfect setting for this statewide gathering. With strong cooperative roots in agriculture, housing, energy, and education, it represents the power and diversity of the co-op model—especially in Greater Minnesota. Hosting the Summit here reflects our belief that the cooperative movement thrives in both rural and urban communities.
What to Expect
The MN Co-op Summit will bring together co-op members, leaders, practitioners, and advocates from every sector for two days of:
Workshops and panels on cooperative governance, financing, policy, and organizing
Networking opportunities to connect with co-op peers and partners
Skill-sharing and dialogue across co-op types and geographies
Celebration of the co-op legacy in Minnesota—and what’s to come
Whether you're part of a member of a co-op, a long-time co-op enthusiast—or just exploring the model—this event is for you.
Building a Stronger Movement Together
This Summit represents the beginning of a renewed investment in statewide co-op infrastructure. Through CoMinnesota, NCF aims to support a stronger, more connected cooperative ecosystem where education, innovation, and member ownership can flourish.
