NCF is pleased to announce its newest addition to the team, Ed Hilbrich, as Housing Program Associate. Ed’s hiring brings NCF’s staff to 10, a doubling of the organization’s personnel in a year. The added capacity will allow NCF to further its work in providing technical assistance to resident-owned manufactured housing cooperatives and expanding their presence across the Upper Midwest.
Ed Hilbrich, a seasoned professional with a track record spanning over 20 years in the nonprofit sector, is a champion of social change and affordable housing. Throughout his career, he has been a passionate advocate for housing rights and union organizing, dedicated to advancing social and economic justice.
Born and raised in New York, Ed began his nonprofit journey with a mission to address housing inequality and poverty. Through using his bachelor’s degree in English and creative writing to engage in community communications and storytelling, Ed sought to drive social change. Throughout his career, he has embraced community organizing and developed impactful partnerships with various groups to find solutions for housing crises. Ed's expertise in program development has led to numerous successful housing initiatives. He's also a certified Peer Support Specialist, providing holistic care to those in need.
Based in the Twin Cities for the last 18 years, he's become a valuable member of the community, with a transformative presence in campaigns and unions. Ed's passion for painting, meditation, and storytelling through films further enriches his life. His dedication to advocacy and organizing is only matched by his pride in his daughter's pursuit of creative writing in college, carrying the torch for the next generation of storytellers and advocates.
