New NCF board members reflect organization’s commitment to future loan program

NCF is excited to announce the addition of three new directors to the NCF board, bringing the board roster to 10 members. The new directors all come from nonprofit lending and finance backgrounds, proficiencies that will guide NCF’s strategic direction as we work to develop a loan program designed to meet the unique capital needs of housing cooperatives.

Trisha Presley

Trisha currently works at Alliance Bank, St. Paul as a Vice President for Commercial and Private Banking. Her focus is working with new potential commercial clients and their banking relationship as well as managing an existing portfolio of business and private banking clients in the Twin Cities. Alliance Bank is a privately owned community bank with over $745 million in assets. Trisha’s background includes strong lending and loan servicing experience in both the affordable housing and commercial real estate spaces. She previously worked at Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, a nonprofit corporation in St. Paul, as a loan closing manager and loan capital asset manager.

Ben Nicholie

Ben has worked in nonprofit accounting since 1999 and is currently CFO of First Children’s Finance in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He’s worked for a variety of small nonprofits, including 10 years with the YMCA of the North. He’s held a variety of positions including Business Manager, Accountant, Internal Auditor, Finance Director, and CFO. He attended Metro State University (Accounting) and Hamline University (Theater, Nonprofit management). He’s a skilled strategic thinker and problem solver with broad experience in budgeting, reporting, nonprofit management, fundraising, and organizational development.

Noah Hobbs

Noah has worked for over 10 years in community development and is currently Director of Strategy and Policy at One Roof Community Housing in Duluth, Minnesota, leading vertical integration efforts and directing local, state, and federal policy to improve the CDFI environment and increase the production of affordable housing. He previously worked as a planner at the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency before moving to One Roof as Lending Director, where he grew the CDFI arm from $400,000 to $4 million in five years. He’s also served in several positions on the Duluth City Council. He attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, and received a Masters in Public Administration from Hamline University.
